American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring LDRP skills, Epic charting, and Alaska RN license eligibility.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care medical center with a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital designationLabor and Delivery unit with patients requiring full LDRP skillsetPatient care includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newbornEpic EMR is used and experience is requiredFloating may be required within scope to meet facility needs, including to other facilities within the stateShifts are 3x12 variable; will be either straight days or straight nights, determined closer to the start dateWeekend work is requiredNo on-call responsibilitiesFacility provides free parkingScrub color is flexible—any or business casual is acceptablePosition includes responsibilities across the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum spectrum, as well as newborn careFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionAll travelers are expected to float as requiredHoliday and variable coverage will be needed according to unit and hospital scheduleFacility provides housing (typically a one-bedroom apartment) and a rental vehicle for the duration of the assignment; pets are not allowed in housingOnly the traveler is permitted to drive the provided vehicle, which is for use within a 30-mile radius of the facilityHousing and vehicle are available to the traveler no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and for up to 24 hours after it endsTravelers are responsible for cleaning housing and vehicles before departure to avoid additional fees\n \n Requirements\n
Active AK RN license or evidence of application (pending accepted, license issuance can take 6-8 weeks)Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experienceCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN IntermediateLDRP experience is requiredEpic EMR experience is requiredCandidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facilityFormer perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler\n Benefits\n
