New York Pilates is seeking a reliable, skilled Facilities Support Technician to help maintain our design-forward studio spaces in the Hamptons and ensure they remain polished, functional, and aligned with our elevated brand standard.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, takes pride in detail-oriented craftsmanship, and thrives in dynamic hospitality-style environments.
In this role, you’ll support ongoing upkeep and small-scale improvements at our Hamptons studio — addressing repairs, light maintenance, fixture installation, paint + wallpaper touch-ups, and ensuring every detail of the space continues to look and perform at its best.
This is a part-time, hourly contractor role based in the Hamptons.
The Facilities Support Technician will work closely with Studio Operations & Founders.
The Role Facilities Upkeep & Repair :
- Support maintenance needs including : patching, painting, wallpaper repair fixture adjustments light carpentry general repairs that keep the studio clean, functional, and beautiful Installation Support : Install speakers, curtains, mirrors, screens, décor, and fixtures with precision and safety.
Light Plumbing & Electrical :
Perform small plumbing and electrical fixes (e.g., swapping dimmers, tightening fittings, bulb replacements) and flag when a specialist is required.Project Support & Vendor Coordination :
Source materials, take measurements, coordinate trades, and oversee small facilities projects as needed.Quality Control :
Ensure all finishes and fixtures meet NYP’s design-forward aesthetic; identify maintenance needs proactively and maintain consistent brand standards.Communication & Documentation :
Track work completed, provide simple estimates before beginning scoped tasks, and maintain clear communication with Studio Operations via Slack / email. What We’re Looking For 3–5+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or handyperson roles (hospitality / retail / boutique fitness a plus).Strong hands-on skills :
carpentry, minor electrical, light plumbing, general repair.Skilled in installation + mounting (audio equipment, curtains, mirrors, shelving, fixtures).Exceptional attention to detail and clean-finish craftsmanship.Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Based in the Hamptons with reliable transportation.Strong communicator with reliable follow-through.Able to respond to requests within ~48 hours and complete most tasks within ~1 week.
