FLSA Status :  Full-time ,Non-Exempt

Schedule : Onsite | Monday - Friday| Occasional weekends, early mornings, and evenings required

Salary :   $26.00-$28.00 / hour

Position Summary : The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance, repair, and minor improvements of facility including interactive exhibits at Butterfly Pavilion. Maintenance, repairs, and improvements may include painting, replacing mechanical components, minor electrical repair, supporting the installation of exhibit components, and troubleshooting technology where possible. Basic carpentry skills and the ability to patch drywall and match paint are essential.

At Butterfly Pavilion, the employee is occasionally exposed to moderate to loud environmental noise for extended periods of time. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and stand, use their hands and fingers, to handle / feel / grasp. The employee is occasionally required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally be required to perform maintenance on a ladder or, rarely, scaffolding. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee should be able to lift, carry any items up to 50 lbs.
