Overview
Environmental Health & Safety Advisors focus on four pillars :
- Employee training
- Program and procedure development
- Safety committee meetings
- Facility walkthrough inspections
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree, preferably with 5–10 years of experience in occupational safety. An advanced professional certification is also preferred, such as a CSP or CHST. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Provide on-site visits to assigned clients and perform compliance audits, periodic training, and routine facility inspections to identify areas of concernDevelop, write, and edit OSHA-compliant programs and provide up-to-date versions to clients using our EHS Gateway platformFacilitate safety committee and emergency response team (ERT) meetingsPerform industrial hygiene surveys and conduct related testing (air, noise)Manage daily activities and tasks through the company's internal software (MS Dynamics / PSA)Research additional regulations and apply them to industrial equipment and operationsConduct applicability assessments and data collection with the Environmental DivisionComplete special projects as assigned (e.g., lockout / tagout procedures, Job Hazard Assessments, DOT / RCRA seminars)Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; 5–10 years of experience in occupational safety preferredAdvanced certification preferred (CSP or CHST)Experience in development and implementation of safety programsWorking knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and 1926; familiarity with state or regional requirementsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; sound decision-making abilityTravel readiness; ability to service clients locally and out-of-region (average 6–8 overnight stays per month)Willingness to travel and integrate into client teams as an extension of their safety programAbout the Program
