Administrative Assistant

The Hilton Portland Downtown is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate for this role will possess :

The ability to commit to a work schedule which may include weekends and holidays. The ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking / standing. The ability to effectively communicate with English language-speaking guests. Previous clerical and / or administrative or related experience is a PLUS!! Most importantly a service heart to deliver a high level of service to our guests!

Shift Pattern : Full-Time

Hourly Rate : $21.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Department Secretary / Administrative Assistant, you would be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to department managers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

  • Greet and assist guests and respond to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Perform word-processing, typing, emailing, data-entry, filing, faxing, copying, processing mail and taking notes and / or dictation
  • Answer telephones
  • Expedite correspondence
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Perform other general office duties and assist with special projects, as needed
