Physician Assistant Job Details

Location : Belle Vernon, PA (Zip : 15012) – Convenient to Pittsburgh and the Laurel Highlands; ideal for those seeking Pennsylvania healthcare jobs in a friendly, scenic community.

Assignment Type : Locum tenens (Travel / Contract Physician Assistant)

Duration : 13 weeks (September 1, 2025 – December 1, 2025)

Shift : 12-hour days (8 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 PM)

Minimum Availability : 3 shifts per month (Full-Time : 12+ shifts / month, Part-Time : 6+ shifts / month)

Practice Setting : Urgent Care clinics (multiple sites within 30 miles : Belle Vernon, Dunbar, Mt Pleasant)

Hourly Pay Rate : $175-$200

Estimated Weekly Salary : $4200-$4500

Physician Assistant Qualifications

Active Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in Pennsylvania

Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year in emergency medicine

Skilled in orthopedic procedures (splinting), wound care, and independent clinical practice

Experience providing care to patients of all ages, including pediatric urgent care

Ability to travel between urgent care sites within 30 miles

Urgent Care Physician Assistant Responsibilities

Deliver urgent care services for patients with cold / flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and minor burns

Perform clinical procedures : suturing, wound care, incision and drainage (I&D), splinting, X-rays, EKGs, blood draws, and IV placement

Assess and treat patients of all ages; refer high-acuity cases to local emergency departments as needed

Work independently with strong clinical judgment in a team-oriented healthcare environment

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in urgent care settings
