Intermountain MLS, a regional MLS serving one shareholder Association and six non-shareholder Association customers, is seeking an accomplished relationship builder who understands the importance of creating a truly customer-responsive MLS organization from top to bottom. The next CEO must be someone who listens deeply, responds quickly, and builds strong, trust-based relationships with brokers, agents, appraisers, associations, technology partners, and industry leaders. This role requires a leader who knows how to create an environment where customer needs guide decisions, staff feel empowered and inspired to serve at the highest levels, and the MLS becomes known for its relevance, responsiveness, and proactivity.
This leader will also bring a clear and forward-looking technology vision. The successful candidate will know how to harness the practical and transformative power of AI. They will understand how AI can simplify MLS experiences, streamline operations, and help real estate professionals access information through plain-English questions rather than complicated workflows. The CEO will position Intermountain MLS as a national leader in innovation, data strategy, and mission critical MLS solutions.

Key Responsibilities Customer Experience & Operations
- Champion a customer-centric culture across the entire organization.
- Lead efforts to improve responsiveness, support quality, and clarity of communication and deepen relationships.
- Use workflows and AI tools to make staff more efficient and frees them up for higher-level work.
- Ensure members have easy access to MLS tools, data, training, and dependable support.
- Actively seek feedback, understand customer needs, and work quickly to address challenges.
Stakeholder & Relationship Building
Build and maintain collaborative and transparent relationships with shareholder association and participating associationsActively build trust relationships with brokers, top producers, team leaders, appraisers, agents, fellow Idaho Associations and MLSs and industry partners.Engage Intermountain MLS in Idaho and across the national MLS community.Delivers proven success at uncovering and executing market collaborations to address the needs of subscribersTeam Leadership & Culture
Lead, inspire and reward a collaborative, service-driven team motivated to exceed key performance indicators.Coach and mentor staff, providing continual opportunities for growth.Create a culture where staff feel valued, empowered, and excited to serve MLS customers.Technology, Innovation & AI Leadership
Lead the vision for an AI‑centric MLS that makes tools easier to use and improves customer service, data access, and workflow efficiency.Develop intuitive AI-driven experiences that allow brokers and agents to get answers and guidance through plain-English questions, without complex training.Architect data solutions that keep Intermountain MLS flexible, scalable, and in control of its technology future.Determine when to own capabilities, the best methods for building them, and when it is smarter to contract out to specialized partners.Evaluate automation needs across the organization and design practical systems that streamline internal operations and enhance responsiveness.Financial Management & Growth
Ensure strong financial performance and reporting transparency and oversee budgeting and investment strategiesIdentify and build new revenue opportunities that align with the needs of brokers and agents.Effective Marketing and Training
Drives effective marketing campaigns that help customers understand WHY IMLS technologies are built to help them succeed and excite them to engage more deeplySignificantly increase participation in IMLS training by communicating why and how IMLS technologies help users with every step of the sales process and help them create lifetime client relationships.Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree desired; advanced degree a bonus.Executive-level MLS leadership experienceStrong reputation in the MLS and real estate community.Proven experience leading technology rollouts and managing MLS operations.Financial management experience including budgeting and revenue development.Demonstrated knowledge about how AI and automation can support member services and internal operations.Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team.Willingness to relocate to Boise, Idaho.Ideal Attributes
