Job Overview : Determines the suitability of whole blood and apheresis blood component donors and patients according to established standards. Collects blood components and therapeutic products from suitable donors and patients using automated and non-automated procedures. Possesses knowledge of blood collection theory and practice in order to diagnose, educate and treat donor, patient, and staff responses to actual or potential problems.

Qualifications : Required :

• Registered nurse with New Jersey licensure.
• Phlebotomy or IV certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Advanced nursing degree or the equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 10 years R.N. licensure.
• Minimum 3 years Supervisory management experience required.
• Apheresis and / or automated medical instrumentation expertise.
