A Day in the Life of a Tax Preparation Associate

As a Tax Preparation Associate at H&R Block, you will benefit from a supportive team that provides comprehensive tax training to help you excel. Enjoy the flexibility and potential for additional earnings as you define your unique work-life balance.

• Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients in person and through virtual platforms.
• Prepare thorough and accurate tax returns.
• Drive business expansion, enhance client loyalty, and promote additional products and services.
• Assist clients with IRS support when needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve office goals.
• Continuously expand your tax knowledge and expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience in customer service or retail is valuable.
• Experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment is beneficial.
• Availability to work 25-35 hours weekly during tax season, with potential for up to 40 hours during peak periods.

What You Bring to the Team

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or the Income Tax Course.
• Experience in a dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Meeting all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
