Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida - Our service allows physicians to treat their patients for cardiac disease with the most cutting-edge tools in nuclear medicine. We perform cardiac PET / CT, the recognized gold standard across the United States in detecting early coronary artery disease before it is evident on other imaging tests.
We are currently seeking a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work under the direction of a physician and perform a full range of nuclear imaging for our Cardiac Imaging Program
Requirements
- Must be certified by or eligible for the nuclear medicine technology certification board (NMTCB), ARRT (N) Certification
- Must be a graduate of an approved nuclear medicine program
- Ability to work well with others in a professional manner in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
Provides care for patients requiring Nuclear Cardiology proceduresPerforms all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and some therapeutic purposes in accordance with ALARA standardsOperates equipment utilized to measure radiation, produce images, quantify physiologic responses, and relay images and measurements to the physician for interpretationEmploys practices and techniques to ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials, especially when dosing patients with radiopharmaceuticals (both orally and intravenously) as prescribed and authorized by the responsible licensed physicianBenefits
