Team-Focused Restaurant Manager Wanted

We are a premier, private Country Club in Bethesda, MD , committed to unparalleled service and dining quality. We are seeking a seasoned professional to join us as Restaurant Manager , working in close support of our Director of Restaurants to drive daily excellence across all dining venues.
The Role : A Crucial Team Player
This is not a solo operation. You will function as the right hand to the Director of Restaurants, focusing on flawless floor execution, team cohesion, and direct staff mentorship . Success in this role hinges on your ability to work seamlessly with the Director, the Executive Chef, and your FOH team while maintaining the integrity of our cellar selections.
Key Responsibilities Highlighting Team Support & Wine Focus :
- Direct Floor Management : Directly manage all front-of-house service lines - fine dining, casual, and events - ensuring the standards set by the Director are met every shift .
- Staff Coaching & Leadership : Lead, train, and motivate staff as a cohesive unit . Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to ensure unified messaging and coordinated service efforts.
- Wine Service Standards : Ensure FOH staff executes proper service protocols for our notable wine program , including decanting, proper glassware presentation, and knowledgeable pairing suggestions (in collaboration with Sommeliers / Director).
- Collaborative Problem-Solving : Work alongside the Director to proactively identify operational gaps (scheduling, inventory needs, training deficits) and implement team-based solutions .
- Member Experience Ownership : Serve as the primary leader on the floor, ensuring every member interaction reflects the club's commitment to hospitality, while always keeping the Director informed of key escalations or successes.
Required Experience
We require a leader who thrives in a team structure and has a proven history of high performance.
Minimum 5-7 years of management experience in a demanding, high-service environment (private club or fine dining strongly preferred).Demonstrated history of building, motivating, and supporting a strong service team .Direct experience supporting a structured wine program or serving in an establishment with a significant focus on wine service is highly desirable.Expert proficiency in service standards, staff scheduling, and daily floor management.Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in all directions (to the Director, to the staff and to the BOH).Flexibility to work the necessary club hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Compensation : We offer a highly competitive base salary, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package within a supportive environment where your contributions to the team are valued.
