Med / Surg RN Job Details

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 22, 2026

Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical Unit

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Nursing, On-Site

Location : Effingham, IL 62401

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1840 - $1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (must be in hand at time of submission)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Med / Surg RN or in a Medical / Surgical nursing setting

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend

Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Effingham, IL

Immediate start preferred for qualified candidates

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the medical / surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment plans

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare team members, and clinical support staff

Administer medications, perform clinical treatments, and assist with medical procedures as needed

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing health management

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies
