About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room

License : Valid RN License required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS required

Must-Have :

• 1 year of experience in Trauma Level 1
• Current Cerner experience
• Ability to float between facilities as needed

Description :

The role requires a Registered Nurse with emergency room experience.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in trauma care.

Traveling nurses will need to manage their own transportation.

Natural hair color is required, and facial piercings are not permitted.

Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing.

All nurses are to complete a pass / fail exam assessing skills.

Competency in maintaining a sterile field is essential.

The unit consists of acute and subacute care beds, including trauma bays.

Required certifications are BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Preferred certifications include TNCC and ATCN.

Nurse-patient ratio is 1 : 4.

Nursing support will include charge nurses and nurse aides.

Shifts will rotate, and weekend shifts are mandatory.

Common diagnoses include trauma and burns, with a focus on pediatrics.

Cancelling shifts may occur under specific guidelines.

The facility expects high standards in nursing care and professionalism.

Completion of additional educational training is required during the orientation period.
