Description Overview
- Primarily responsible for troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment. The Asset Reliability Shift Lead is the first point of contact for Asset Reliability technicians for advanced troubleshooting and downtime escalation. They also provide machine repair prioritization and are the main liaison between Asset Reliability and Operations Shift Leads on each shift. Additional responsibilities include suggesting methods of process improvement, participation in machine installations, and suggesting and implementing machinery upgrades.
Scope of the Role
Troubleshooting and repairAbility to troubleshoot / service intermediate electrical and machine controls defined as :Conveyor drive systemsMotor starter circuits including Variable Frequency DrivesI / O – Switch FunctionsEquipment wiring / grounding techniquesA / C & D / C Electrical conceptsProficient in Hydraulic, Pneumatics, and Vacuum SystemsProficient with reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematicsRead / Interpret relay and PLC Ladder LogicParticipate and assist in machine installations, suggesting and implementing machinery upgrades / improvementsTroubleshoot and repair robotics and automation systemsCommunicate machine repair priorities to Asset Reliability technicians.Communicate with operations shift leads on equipment and resource statusLead shift to shift pass down huddlesUtilize Redzone to respond to equipment breakdowns and manage activities for the Asset Reliability team.Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affects products / processes supported and / or owned.Experience Required
Asset Reliability Shift Leads must have thorough working knowledge and demonstrate aptitude in primary mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and vacuum machine controls and automation.Must have 5 years of formal education in industrial / electrical maintenance from an accredited college technical center or approved recognized apprenticeship program or at least 5+ years of applicable work experienceAbility to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelinesMust be familiar with current machinery and control technologiesSupport effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affect products / processes supported and / or owned.Leadership experience a plusBasic computer skillsWork well with peers in a team environmentCommunicate with others in an effective mannerBenefits
