We are seeking a Healthcare Paralegal to join its offices in either Los Angeles, San Francisco or Sacramento. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this position performs a variety of duties to assist attorneys on the Healthcare team. This position will report directly to the Director of Administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Complete understanding of the litigation process, especially large case management; manage all facets of matters from discovery through trial.
Assist with electronic document productions using database management software.
Assist with document reviews for responsiveness; identify privileged documents, documents for redaction, and case issues in context.
Managing documents, exhibits, notebooks, and spreadsheets in court trials and arbitration proceedings.
Utilize litigation applications / software, such as Relativity.
Strong multitasking skills working on multiple matters at the same time with several different lawyers and other staff.
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including attorneys and other paralegals and assistants, sharing information, goals, and opportunities accordingly.
Interact with clients as necessary to gather necessary documentation and information for agency or court filings.
Assist in deposition / interview / hearing preparation, document review, productions, and case preparation at / for trial / arbitration as needed.
Observe confidentiality of client matters at all times.
General support of attorneys and other business professionals across all offices and practice groups as business needs arise.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ paralegal experience. Experience in Healthcare matters preferred.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the litigation process (i.e. case management, discovery, databases, privilege logs, court filings, e-filing, cite checking, Shepardizing, and Bluebooking).
Experience in preparing for and attending onsite trials and arbitrations.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Must be a flexible, proactive, self-starter, to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and timelines; ability to work under tight deadlines on detailed tasks.
Must pay attention to details and follow up and follow through.
Must have good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and related computer skills.
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
The ability to work overtime, including on some weekends and holidays with little to no advance notice.
