ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efficient transportation of medical specimens from various medical facility collection points to laboratory facilities. The Driver Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate specimen delivery and providing exceptional customer service.

1. Dispatch and Route Planning:

• Efficiently schedules will call and stat orders and dispatches courier drivers to designated collection points.
• Maintains driver schedules and ensures drivers are following them.
• Monitors the dispatching board to ensure all pickups and deliveries are on time.
• Use routing software to perform daily routing, maintain software to improve routed performance.
• Monitors any sudden route changes and establishes new routes for timely deliveries.
• Collaborates with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
• As a last resort, drives vehicle to cover runs as necessary if no other drivers are available.

2. Communication:

• Maintains constant communication with drivers to provide updates and address any issues.
• Communicates delays directly with clients.
• Communicates all client issues to Dispatch Supervisor.
• Ensures policies and procedures that are defined by client and management are being met.
• Builds good and strong relationships with drivers and customers.

3. Problem Resolution:

• Researches and resolves client issues quickly and accurately.
• Provides support to drivers and collection sites in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

Required SkillsWhat we're Looking For:

• A motivated individual with proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination.
• Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and problem - solving abilities.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of attention to details.
• Must possess valid California Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation and good driving record are a requirement.
• Passion for contributing to the healthcare industry
