Position Summary

Nelson Miller Group is seeking an exceptional, high-energy Sales Manager to lead and significantly expand our business across the East Coast Region .

The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with d eep expertise in HMI technologies, complex engineered solutions, and supply chain services. This role requires a proven ability to drive significant revenue growth, develop new markets, effectively mentor a regional sales team, and build enduring, high-value relationships with customers in the C ommercial, Industrial, Lighting, Aerospace & Defense (A&D), and Medical markets. You will be responsible for defining and executing the regional sales strategy to meet ambitious financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy to expand NMG's market share and presence across the East Coast.
  • Proactively drive new business development (hunter mentality) while cultivating and strengthening existing high-potential customer partnerships and accounts.
  • Accountability for a regional revenue target (e.g., managing $100M+ in annual revenue) and ensuring achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the regional sales team to consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profitability goals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture characterized by accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
  • Implement rigorous sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting methodologies using the CRM system.
  • Solution Integration & Market Expertise

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for high-value strategic accounts, negotiating complex contracts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to define and deliver integrated, custom-engineered solutions.
  • Represent NMG with integrity and professionalism at industry events, trade shows, and key customer executive engagements.
  • Requirements

    Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in complex solution selling, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a sales management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully managing a P&L or revenue book of at least $100M + and leading a team of 10 or more people.
  • Deep domain expertise in the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) market and related electronics, design, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Proven success selling engineered products, custom manufacturing, or sophisticated supply chain solutions into relevant markets (Commercial, Industrial, Lighting, A&D, and Medical).
  • Key Attributes

  • Demonstrated ability to close high-value, complex deals and scale a high-performing sales organization.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ), communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong existing professional network and relationships within the East Coast's HMI and electronics / manufacturing space is highly desirable .
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned region.

  • This position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3) due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance.
  • Candidates being considered for hire must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

    Pay Range : $140,000 annualized base (Pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data). Compensation includes 20% STIP and a commission plan.
