Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support new construction, process design, and ongoing operations at a state-of-the-art facility in the advanced energy and medical technology sector. As part of a small, highly skilled engineering team, you will collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions with impact in medicine, energy, and beyond. This role is based in Wisconsin; hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for qualified U.S.-based candidates. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or on-site project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams and vendors to ensure civil / structural requirements are effectively implemented.
- Troubleshoot designs, resolve fabrication and field issues, and provide formal design resolutions.
- Design structural steel, foundations, anchorage, platforms, supports, and other facility structures.
- Perform structural analysis for static and dynamic loads, including seismic, wind, tornado, and impact loading.
- Review and evaluate vendor deliverables, drawings, and analyses for compliance with project requirements.
- Develop design specifications and support vendor evaluation for civil / structural design and construction.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (ABET-accredited) in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.Minimum 5 years of civil / structural engineering experience (or 3 years with a Master's degree).Experience with steel, concrete, and anchorage design.Familiarity with seismic design.Working knowledge of industry standards and codes (ACI 318, AISC 360).Preferred Qualifications
Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., GT STRUDL, SAP2000, STAAD).Field issue resolution experience.Background in nuclear plant design or modification.Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance standards.Knowledge of nuclear safety-related design codes (ACI 349, ANSI / AISC N690).Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Wisconsin.Why Join
