Building And Construction Estimator

Our client is a Kansas City-based General Contractor with multiple multi-family and commercial projects in the Kansas City Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a nice backlog of projects going in to 2026 and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Estimator to their team.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses.

Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate budgets.

Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure alignment on project scopes and budgets.

Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related documentation.

Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to improve estimation accuracy.

Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred

5+ years of experience estimating commercial and / or multifamily projects

Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Ground up project knowledge and experience preferred

Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Sage, MS Project

Quantity take-off and cost estimate experience

Competitive base salary ($90-120k) depending on experience
