Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
T5 Data Centers is searching for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for the day‐to‐day financial analysis and oversight of a portfolio of managed data center facilities. They will work directly with the finance team, outside departments and assigned customers to provide excellent financial analysis and reporting as required. The ideal candidate will have a have a proven track record as a financial business partner, superior financial modeling capabilities, and be proficient in the use of financial systems and tools to manage processes and data efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and prepare internal budgets for each data center in the portfolioWork closely with Account Directors, site leaders, and customer representatives to manage costs in accordance with approved budgetsReview monthly financial results prepared by team members, and collaborate with accounting and operations to maximize financial clarity and minimize noiseProduce and distribute timely and accurate monthly financial reports for each data center and at a consolidated level including insightful variance analysis commentaryPrepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual internal forecast for each data center in the portfolioPrepare and review monthly customer payroll billing and ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly billings to customers in accordance with contract requirementsReconcile customer billings to job cost and general ledger monthlyProvide Account Directors and site leaders with financial information needed for external, customer forecastsConduct weekly meetings with each Account Director to review all relevant financial matters and create plans for follow-up itemsLead and be an integral part of the periodic business review meetings with the customers’ executive management team to report financial results and forecasts of the portfolioDocument and oversee financial policies and processes for specific customer deliverablesReview monthly non-billable expenses with Account Directors and site leaders to ensure compliance with agreed upon contract termsPrepare and distribute weekly accounts receivable reports for each customer in the portfolioTrack and maintain accurate financial records for each customer at the purchase order levelMaintain constant awareness of the business unit’s financial position and proactively act to prevent problemsAssist with process-improvement, automation, systems integration and enhancement projects as assignedAssist with other duties as assignedAdhere to financial laws and guidelinesQualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant field, required4‐8 years’ experience in a similar role, requiredAn MBA is a plus, or it can be applied towards the experience requirementPrevious business partnering, data center, or NetSuite experience is a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
In‐depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, laws and best practicesSolid knowledge of financial analysis and forecastingStrong proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Office and financial management softwareAnalytical thinker with the ability to strategize and solve problemsSuperior attention to detail for accurate financial reporting and identification of discrepancies and risksProactive in building trusting relationships and following up on action itemsCustomer‐focused with a hospitality mindsetAbility to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines while working independentlyExcellent organizational and leadership skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesHandle confidential information in a sensitive and professional mannerPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
