American Traveler is seeking a RCIS for a cardiac cath lab position with 1+ years of experience, active license, and AHA certifications required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work setting is a cardiac catheterization labDay shifts are 8 hours, 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through FridayOn-call required : 14 call shifts in a 6-week period and two on-call weekends in the same timeframePatient population includes individuals requiring diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular proceduresProcedures performed include diagnostic / interventional catheterization, pacemaker / defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studiesEPIC is used for charting and EMR documentationFloating may be required to any covered location within 60 miles, including assignments outside the original skill set per policyMain responsibilities include assisting physicians with advanced cardiovascular procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout interventionsRole requires rapid evaluation, documentation, and intervention for patient care based on clinical findingsEmphasis is placed on continual learning, teamwork, and participation in performance improvement activitiesAdaptability to dynamic workloads, technologies, and patient care priorities is essentialFlu vaccination is required during flu season, with medical exemptions considered case by case; religious exemptions are not permittedNo local travelers permitted within a 60-mile radiusAbility to work with various patient personalities, consciousness levels, and family education needs\n \n Requirements\n
Active license required; DORA for Colorado candidates if applicableAssociate's Degree or completion of an academic program in health science or invasive cardiovascular technology requiredMinimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience requiredCurrent AHA BLS and ACLS certifications requiredOne of the following required : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or ARRT with post-primary Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) certificationSpecial procedures experience preferredExperience with EPIC EMR charting preferredMust be able to provide on-call coverage as needed\n Benefits\n
