Receiving / Distribution Clerk
The Receiving / Distribution Clerk ensures proper and efficient product flow throughout the organization by receiving, staging, and delivering incoming freight from various shipping sources. This position also coordinates and processes outgoing shipments via common carrier and courier services, and accurately processes all necessary data for received products.
Qualifications :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Business math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
- Computer data entry experience required.
- Prior receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift certification required (may be obtained post-hire).
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively without direct supervision.
- Must be able to make independent judgments under stressful situations.
Job Duties :
Receives, signs for, and verifies deliveries, noting any damages or shortages.Reconciles received products with packing slips for quantity and accuracy.Organizes received goods to maintain efficient product flow.Accurately enters receipts into the designated system, ensuring correct purchase order and quantity.Prints and attaches receiving documents for each specific delivery location.Delivers internal products to designated areas and obtains necessary signatures.Receives and delivers non-Materials Management ordered items, maintaining applicable logs.Organizes incoming deliveries for routing to internal departments.Prepares outgoing shipments and maintains necessary shipping materials.Operates material handling equipment safely and maintains certifications as required.Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled.Work Environment : Receiving and warehouse environment. Area is well lighted and ventilated.
Shift : Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)
Schedule : Primarily weekdays, Monday thru Friday.
