Practice Management Assistant
OVERVIEW
The Practice Management Assistant supports the Firm’s Practice Managers with administrative and substantive tasks related to professional development initiatives including but not limited to, associate relations, rotations, reviews and mentor programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides general support and assistance to the Practice Managers on an ongoing basis;
- Responsible for updating and circulating various reports related to Professional Development;
- Prepares new hire assignment charts and materials for Managing Partners’ review;
- Assists with administrative logistics related to rotations;
- Coordinates review meetings and materials;
- Communicates with external vendors and other department’s with regard to alumni Career Center;
- Assists in compiling and proofing caucus materials;
- Prepares relevant materials for partner mentor and associate advisor programs;
- Schedules check-in meetings for associates and members of Legal Talent team;
- Synthesizes and analyzes data related to Professional Development initiatives;
- Provides general assistance on ad-hoc projects; and
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- 1-2 years of professional services experience required; large law firm or corporation experience preferred;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Proofreading and auditing skills;
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information;
- Must be team oriented; and
- Ability to work overtime, as needed.
This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change.
The hours for this position are 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 plus overtime.
The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained.
