Role Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential nursing care while supporting residents and their families. Your responsibilities will include :
Assessing residents upon admission and during ongoing evaluationsCommunicating significant changes in resident conditions to the interdisciplinary teamDocumenting assessments accurately and seeking guidance as neededParticipating actively in care planning and revising plans as necessaryImplementing nursing interventions safely and timely, including medication administrationMonitoring resident care and utilizing critical thinking to respond to changes in conditionMaintaining professionalism during crisis situationsIdentifying and addressing problem areas through the QAPI processFocusing on the basic nursing needs of geriatric residentsCompleting a minimum of twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education annuallyQualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, resulting in LPN licensureCurrent LPN license in the applicable stateCPR and AED certification required, or willingness to obtain within six monthsIV certification required, or willingness to obtain within six monthsPreferred experience in long-term care settingsSkill in assessing the nursing care needs of elderly residentsStrong communication abilities for engaging with residents, visitors, and staffEffective time management and organizational skillsPhysical ability to stand and walk for extended periodsCapacity to lift heavy objects using proper techniquesAdept in moving patients and handling equipment safelyManual dexterity and coordination for working with patients and medical equipmentVisual acuity for distinguishing colorAbility to complete documentation electronically and in writingJoin us at Bethesda, where caring meets career advancement!
Pay range : $26.96 - $43.25 per hour
