Inpatient C&A Psychiatry opening near Hartford, CT

• Located in
• Mansfield, CT - 25 miles from Hartford! Full-time, permanent opening Hospital-employed Inpatient only
• Involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team Key Responsibilities : Provide direct patient services, including assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of care Act as a clinical team leader, guiding other clinicians in formulating and executing treatment plans Champion quality improvement initiatives and work to minimize restraint and seclusion Ensure timely documentation of clinical interventions and discharge summaries Monitor risk indicators and address safety concerns promptly Communicate effectively with external providers, primary care physicians, schools, and families Provide rotational coverage for psychiatric services during various shifts and ensure continuity of care Supervise medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals Qualifications : Experience in child and adolescent inpatient care and evaluation services within a multidisciplinary team Board Certified (or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency) in Psychiatry
