Employment Type : Full-time, On-site

Compensation : $110,000 – $130,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a licensed therapist to act as a our new Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services within a correctional and detention setting, supporting individuals in custody. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment to a structured environment focused on treatment and rehabilitation.

This position involves direct, on-site engagement with detainees and close collaboration with multidisciplinary medical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client needs.
Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services consistent with best-practice standards.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within health records systems.
Protect all confidential health information and adhere to professional and legal standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of psychological counseling principles, techniques, and ethics in all client interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.

Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC (LPCC) .

At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.

Strong interpersonal, documentation, and crisis management skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass standard background and drug screening requirements.
