Employment Type : Full-time, On-site

Compensation : $110,000 – $130,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a licensed therapist to act as a our new Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services within a correctional and detention setting, supporting individuals in custody. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment to a structured environment focused on treatment and rehabilitation.

This position involves direct, on-site engagement with detainees and close collaboration with multidisciplinary medical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client needs.
  • Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services consistent with best-practice standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within health records systems.
  • Protect all confidential health information and adhere to professional and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of psychological counseling principles, techniques, and ethics in all client interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC (LPCC) .
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and crisis management skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass standard background and drug screening requirements.
