Staff Accountant

Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), maintains the financial statements of the credit union and oversees the accounting team's training and development . The position will entail preparing monthly financial reports, preparing, and reconciling various subsidiary ledgers, accumulating all general ledger reconciliations for review and more. Approximately 25% of this position is responsible for running and preparing various reports. Another 25% of this position will be assuming responsibility for assisting the accounting team in maintaining ongoing training and development. The remaining 50% of the position will be to assist the CFO with preparing the monthly financial statements, maintaining various subsidiary ledgers, and accumulating all general ledger reconciliations for review by our CFO and outside auditors. The position will have access to Ahola to close the books and to approve and process payroll as needed. This position will be backup to the CFO and Payroll Specialist and understands and will uphold the importance of confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
