Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Location : Titusville, FL (Space Coast) – Florida nursing jobs Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital – Mixed Med / Surg Telemetry & PCU Unit Job Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Start Date : January 5, 2026 End Date : April 6, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1190-$1280 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Orientation : Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours first week) Parking : Free in any unrestricted space Scrub Color : Any Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience in an acute care hospital Active Florida or compact state RN license Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS (or willing to obtain before start) Experience managing 1 : 6 patient ratios Proficiency in telemetry and cardiac drip management (no titration) Rapid Response team and total joint replacement experience required Ability to float within scope to other nursing units as needed Experience in adult and geriatric patient care COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Must reside at least 30 miles from facility (no local travelers) Ability to complete pre-start modules (average 4 hours) Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med / Surg Tele and PCU environment Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias Manage cardiac drips (no titration), CVA, chest tubes, and total joint replacements Respond as a member of the Rapid Response team Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech charting system Adhere to hospital policies regarding scheduling, call outs, and holiday coverage Participate in mandatory orientation and complete all required modules prior to start Discover rewarding travel nurse jobs in Florida's Space Coast while making a difference in patient care.
