The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for eager, enthusiastic, career driven individuals to join our dynamic audit team where your skills can be used to assure transparency and accountability in state government. This is an entry level position. If you're a recent graduate or looking to make a change to your career path, this position may be a great fit for you.
As a Professional Auditor you will be part of a team-driven approach that conducts financial, and compliance engagements related to state entities or to financial and statistical reports filed by providers of Medicaid services. The Professional Auditor will assist the engagement team to develop an approach to the assignment, as well as develop workpapers to support the engagement methodology. The Professional Auditor position requires strong communication skills, a desire to learn, a general knowledge of the principles of accounting and auditing, basic computer skills, and excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. The Professional Auditor must be willing to work in a team environment.

The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) serves as the independent audit function for the State of South Carolina. Our mission is to promote trust and confidence in state government. OSA is organized into three service delivery divisions : State Agency, Medicaid, and Internal Audit Services, supported by an Administration division.
The Office of the State Auditor offers a flexible work schedules that fosters an ideal work / life balance. Our work week consist of 37.5 hours for a 1,950-hour work year.
After one year, 2 days per week telecommuting is another option.
