Responsibilities for the Accountant Include :
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.Prepare and review budgets, monthly financial statements, and journal entries.Lead the monthly close process for assigned entities and ensure accuracy in reporting.Record real estate transactions such as purchases, predevelopment costs, and construction draws.Conduct account analyses and maintain detailed financial documentation.Collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, audits, and compliance activities.Manage fixed asset and depreciation schedules.Review and approve bank reconciliations.Ensure compliance with loan, grant, and financial reporting requirements.Assist in preparing audit workpapers and materials for annual reporting.Support process improvements and maintain accounting systems with external IT resources.Qualifications for the Accountant Include :
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (with an accounting concentration).Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, or nonprofit accounting.Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred :
CPA or CPA candidate.Prior auditing experience.Core Competencies
