What is the work?
Store Lead Operations / Training
May serve as backup to Department Manager and typically works opposite shift to ManagerMay help prepare department work schedulesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable lawsAssists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves productTrains Partners; directs work; addresses complaints; resolves issues; builds / follows up on production plans and their executionAssists in all technical areas, as neededPerforms Representative / Specialist duties frequentlyCustomer Service / Sales
Provides / coaches on superior customer serviceTakes orders from customers by telephone or in personAnswers customer questions regarding products; assists them with selectionsUses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge and experience to meet customer needs and build department salesMerchandises products effectivelyFood Safety
Slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor qualityComplies with department / Store operating proceduresCleans / sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipmentAdditional Department-Specific Responsibilities / Pre-requisites :
Bakery
Ensures / oversees effective production planning and execution of supporting processesAssists in all technical areas as needed (e.g., baking, frying, and decorating)Culls bakery products for poor quality, expiration datesWrites on cakes with icing per personalized customer requestsBeauty
Applies advanced knowledge of current trends in beauty for hair care, skin care, and makeupDeli
May oversee a specific area of the business : Service Case, Production, Cheese Shop or CateringAssists with inventory control, including planning portion of Fresh Production Planner (FPP); follows up on FPP inventory functions; ensures Perpetual Adjustment Walk (PAW) walks are completeAssists with ordering and event order management (EOMs)Assists with training on new systems, tools, processes, and product roll-outs; follows up with Partners as needed to reinforce or retrainPrepared Foods
Serves / packages products at customer's requestEducates customers on preparation / reheating instructions of prepared foodsPrepackages condiments (sauces, dressings) for prepared food itemsCuts, slices, dices, chops, food in preparation for chefProduce
Lead (department) - Performs lead responsibilities for the department and may serve as backup to Produce Manager
Lead (in-store production) - Serves as dedicated lead over the in-store production work & Production Partners
Spends majority of time with processing team engaged in Daily Sequence of TasksTexas Backyard
