Location : North Iowa, located two hours north of Des Moines, IA, and two hours south of Minneapolis, MN.

Facility : A 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital : 300+ employed providers- Including primary care, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastics, Bariatric Surgery, OBGYN, Pulmonary / Critical Care, Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Palliative Care, Urology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, and so much more!

Opportunity :

• The group includes seven physicians and twelve CRNAs and provides Anesthesia coverage for a progressive hospital and ASC in North Central Iowa. Daily work assignments and call rotation are divided between designated staff and physicians.
• Provide coverage for general cases, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, Pediatric and OB.
• There is a Level 2 Trauma ER but no Pain Clinic.
• Provide oversight of CRNAs
• Cover Cardiac surgeries and provide Cardiac call Monday – Thursday. General Weekend call will be six weekends per year and one holiday per year. Call pay for Cardiac procedures Anesthesia performed in the hospital when on call. If no Cardiac cases are scheduled during the week, the provider will be assigned general cases.
• Growing hospital cardiac surgery program
• Documentation System / EMR : Cerner - moving to EPIC, some paper
• Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day : Cardiac surgeries 1 / day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases / day. Must help cover general if no cardiac cases.
• Patient Age Demographic : Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. Very sick children are sent to other hospitals better staffed / equipped for children.
• Number of Operating Rooms : 8 in use at one time
• Qualify for federal school loan forgiveness program
