Details

Profession : Psychiatrist
Schedule : Monday - Friday, roughly 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Rounds in the morning

Rotational responsibility for managing hospital calls / consults every third day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Job Description :

Board Certified or Board Eligible (with plans to test) in Psychiatry

Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up preferred

Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults (Not open to telehealth)

Average Patients Per Day : 5-12

Total Beds : 18 adults, 5 adolescents

Psychiatrists in Group : 1 part-time inpatient

Advanced Practice Providers : 2

Psychologists : None (inpatient)

EMR : Cerner

Trauma Level / Designation : III

Referral / Transfer Protocol : University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car

Safety / Security Measures : Security on each campus

Required Treatment Disorders : Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD / ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders

Familiarity with : Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER

Not accepting visa candidates

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days
