Summary :

Performs duties related to clinical research projects, including investigator initiated, cooperative group, pharmaceutical and device trials. Conducts clinical research studies with investigators while maintaining the highest standards of data security and human subject's protection through the adherence to departmental and Summa policies and procedures (including FDA, OHRP, and HIPAA regulations). Maintains research study compliance, completes case report forms, and provides nursing care.

Minimum Qualifications :

Formal Education Required :

a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio

Experience & Training Required :

• At least 2 years of recent professional nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Two (2) years clinical research experience preferred
• Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (CCRC or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with a computer and be familiar with Microsoft Office products such as WORD and Excel.
• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio

Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
