Landscape Laborers
Three temporary / full-time positions available at ISOD LAWN & GARDEN CARE, INC. from February 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026. Perform manual labor to landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Lay sod, mow, trim, mulch, rake, edge, and haul. Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, and twin-axle vehicles. Use hand tools shovels, rakes, hedge & brush trimmers, and axes. Mow and edge / trim lawns, using power mowers & edgers. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Lay sod. Haul or spread topsoil, and spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Trim & pick flowers, clean flower beds. Decorate gardens with stones & plants. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Prune & trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears or pruners on the ground. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Gather & remove litter. Workers with valid D / L may drive to transport workers & offered additional hrs. Req physical stamina. Must lift & carry 50 lbs. Outdoors, in extreme temps, and in adv weather. T-shirts prov. Training will be prov. Pays in adv or reimburses workers in first workwk for all gov-mandated & visa-related fees. For non-local workers (outside normal commuting dist), emp reimburse inbound travel costs at the 50% point (unless paid in adv). Inbound travel includes transp costs from workers perm residence or place of recruit, a daily meal subsist (based on rates req by law, currently $16.28 / day min or $68 / day max for workers with receipts), & reasonable lodging costs. Travel reimburse based on least-cost common carrier. Provides / pays outbound travel costs upon completion of the contract or early dismiss, except where worker has other employment. Guarantees to offer hrs equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-wk period of the contract, beg with the workers 1st workday & ending on end date or any ext thereof. May count all hrs worked, & any hrs offered in work schedule that worker chooses to not work, up to the max # daily hrs. Workers who voluntarily abandon employ not entitled to payment for outbound travel costs or the full 3 / 4th period guarantee. Provides all tools, supplies & equip (incl. uniforms, if applicable) necess to perform duties assigned. If req, emp helps non-local workers secure opt worker-paid lodging (not to exceed FMV, based on # of occupants; cost TBD). Housing costs paid to landlord & are not deduct. Provides transport between job sites. Emp offers daily transp to / from worksite from pick-up location. Transp is voluntary. Wage rate $21.91 / Hr. OT vary : $32.87 / Hr. Raises / bonuses offered at emp's discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, & tenure. A single workwk will be used to compute wages due. Payroll period wkly. Workers paid on Fri. 7AM - 3 : 30 PM, Mon-Fri. 40 hrs / wk. May offer more than stated work hrs, depending on weather, business needs, & other conditions. Makes all payroll deductions req by law. No other workforce-wide payroll deducts. (SWA) may refer qualified apps who have been apprised of the material terms and conditions of employ & who are able, willing, & avail for job.
