The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas of the property. This position ensures that the grounds, mail room, laundry room, stairwells, and other designated areas remain clean, safe, and well-presented for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Sweep the electric and hot water rooms.
• Blow leaves and debris from all sidewalks, catwalks, and the dumpster area; report any dumpster overflow.
• Clean the mail room, including shelves and the tops of mailboxes; mop the floor beneath mailboxes.
• Wipe accessible windowsills.
• Clean and wipe light fixtures in the mail room, laundry room, and along catwalks, removing bugs as needed.
• Clean exit light fixtures.
• Clean stairwell floors, railings (top and bottom), and corners; use gloves when handling bleach for mildew removal.
• Wipe doors, remove worms and bugs from doors, walls, and windows.
• Clean bugs from door jambs.
• Wipe shutters.
• Clean laundry room floors and shelving.
• Wipe down washing machines and dryers, and clean dryer vents.
• Check all eave lights around the property for proper function.
• Clean and wipe benches in the building area.
• Remove grass and debris from sidewalk cracks.
• Report uneven sidewalks greater than a nickel in height to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Full-Time Mon-Fri 7 : 30a-3 : 30p

Pay Rate : Up to $17 DOE
