Job Description
The CNC Machinist will operate and set up CNC 5-axis mills to produce parts according to drawing specifications, performing first article inspections and correcting any measurement discrepancies. They must be proficient in advanced setup, fixturing, and troubleshooting machining issues, while providing support to fellow machinists as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines in accordance with production standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan machining operations.
- Monitor machine performance, perform routine maintenance, and make adjustments to ensure optimal productivity.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain effective communication and a clean, safe work environment.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall performance.
Qualification
Basic math, geometry, and basic engineering knowledge.Able to read blueprints and follow work orders or verbal directions.Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for precise measurement and part accuracy.Recent experience with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls.Minimum of 5 years in machine setup and operation.
