About Housing Supportive Services
Our Housing Supportive Services program is dedicated to helping individuals facing chronic homelessness, homelessness, or those at risk of experiencing long-term homelessness. We provide tailored, client-centered support for individuals dealing with complex social and mental health challenges. The program is designed to foster housing stability through a strengths-based, person-centered model, respecting each individual’s lived experience, especially their history of homelessness. Service plans are collaboratively developed with tenants, focusing on their strengths, needs, and goals. By embracing a collaborative and empowering approach, we aim to promote independence, stability, and well-being for each individual.
Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is a licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) responsible for ensuring the clinical integrity of the program. This position involves providing direct supervision to unlicensed clinical staff and Peer Support Specialists while maintaining a high standard of care. The Clinical Supervisor will guide the implementation and application of evidence-based practices, including Critical Time Intervention (CTI), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care, to support participants in achieving their treatment goals. This role also ensures that clinical services are delivered in compliance with all agency policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for the team. The Clinical Supervisor will engage in ongoing training and development of staff, ensure quality documentation practices, and contribute to program evaluation efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Management :
- Provide leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are consistently implemented and maintained across all levels of clinical services.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes effective teamwork and high staff morale.
Clinical Oversight and Supervision :
Offer clinical oversight and supervision to unlicensed clinicians, peers, case managers, and other staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide clinical guidance, and offer ongoing coaching to clinical staff to foster professional development.Recruitment and Orientation :
Participate in the interviewing, recruitment, and hiring of new clinical staff, and provide orientation for newly hired employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process.Assist in the development and delivery of orientation and ongoing training programs for new staff.Special Event Planning and Program Support :
Assist with planning and coordinating special events and other program-related activities as required.Support the design and evaluation of outcome tools to assess the effectiveness of the program.Administrative and Operational Tasks :
Utilize office software (e-mail, calendars, case management systems) to communicate effectively, schedule meetings, and perform day-to-day administrative tasks.Exercise sound administrative judgment and assume responsibility for decisions that impact staffing, costs, and quality of services.Clinical Assessment and Consultation :
Provide clinical assessment guidelines and conduct clinical assessment skills reviews for staff.Serve as a resource for clinical consultation and provide case consultation, supervision, and coaching to clinical staff as necessary.Documentation and Reporting :
Ensure accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, case reports, and treatment plans.Maintain all necessary administrative and clinical reports, ensuring compliance with agency policies, regulatory guidelines, and standards.Staff Training and Development :
Provide ongoing in-service training to staff, ensuring all staff members are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for effective service delivery.Develop and maintain a comprehensive clinical training schedule for staff.Quality Assurance and Compliance :
Participate in ongoing program quality assurance activities, including chart reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure that all clinical records and documentation meet compliance standards and are in accordance with the agency's policies and external regulations.Collaboration and Community Outreach :
Work with County Administrators, Program Managers, and community agencies to identify and connect participants with necessary resources and services.Participate in public relations activities, representing the organization in community events or initiatives when necessary.Team Participation and Staff Meetings :
Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings to foster communication, address concerns, and provide input on program development and operations.Collaborate with the team to review treatment goals and overall treatment progress for participants.Supervisory Responsibilities :
Ensure the clinical staff is following all agency protocols, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to agency standards for quality and compliance.Provide support and guidance on challenging cases and assist in crisis intervention when needed.Minimum Qualifications
Education : Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or a related field..Licensing / Certification : Valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance. Must possess and maintain an active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent). Must have the ability to provide clinical supervision.Experience : At least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health, behavioral health, or social services setting, including direct supervision or leadership of clinical staff. Previous experience working with diverse populations and in community-based or outpatient settings is preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor clinical staff in a supportive and effective manner. Strong clinical skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders.Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software, and proficiency in the use of clinical management software.Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.Physical Demands and Work Environment
