Position Description :
This role is responsible for executing the enterprise architecture strategy and governance model set by the Director of EA. This role ensures IT and business alignment by guiding solution architecture, enterprise integration, and data governance. The position requires collaboration with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and development teams to maintain a cohesive architecture framework that supports strategic objectives, optimizes technology investments, and drives digital transformation efforts.
Essential Duties :
Strategy & Planning :
- Align EA strategy with business goals, enforce governance and standards, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends guide strategic decisions, and measure effectiveness through KPIs.
Technology & Solution Architecture :
Guide system design, ensure security, scalability, and performance, oversee technology selection, drive IT consistency, support cloud adoption, and infrastructure optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals.Monitor emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.Business & IT Alignment :
Serve as a liaison between business and IT to ensure EA principles align with business needs, optimize capabilities and tech investments, and drive digital transformation.Maintain interoperability of enterprise applications by partnering with IT operations and development teams.Data & Integration Strategy :
Develop and align enterprise data models, governance, integration strategies, and effective data management frameworks with business and regulatory requirements.Drive API strategy, middleware solutions, microservices adoption, and optimize data flows for analytics, reporting, and AI / ML initiatives.Governance, Risk & Compliance :
Ensure architecture solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards, and embed security-by-design principles in EA initiatives.Support enterprise risk management by identifying and mitigating IT-related risks and define governance processes to enforce technology standards and policies.Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement :
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, best practices, and training programs; identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvements.Conduct architecture assessments to provide optimization recommendations and enhance team knowledge and capabilities.Team Leadership & Development :
Manage and mentor enterprise and solution architects, providing technical leadership on EA methodologies and practices.Foster a collaborative culture across IT and business units, and act as a point of escalation for architecture-related challenges.Required Qualifications :
Formal Education & Certification :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.TOGAF, Zachman, or similar enterprise architecture certification preferred.8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or solution architecture.5+ years of experience in managing IT teams or architecture functions and / or a combination of education and experience.Knowledge & Experience :
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).Experience designing cloud, hybrid, and on-premises architectures (Azure preferred).Expertise in microservices, SOA, event-driven architectures, and APIs.Understanding of enterprise integration strategies, middleware, and data governance.Experience with AI / ML, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives is a plus.Strong familiarity with cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management frameworks.Demonstrated experience leading large-scale IT modernization projects.Personal Attributes :
