Job Description
We are conducting a confidential search for a Painter to support a leading defense manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing and coating metal surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet strict military and industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare metal surfaces for coating using abrasive blasting, high-pressure washing, and wire brushing.
Mask and protect areas not designated for painting.
Hang and remove parts from automated conveyors and racks.
Apply liquid coatings using high volume / low pressure spraying practices.
Inspect coated parts for runs, sags, and uncoated areas; perform thickness testing.
Conduct operator-level maintenance on paint booths and spray equipment.
Accurately record production data via computer terminal or written reporting.
Follow visual and written work instructions to meet quality and safety standards.
Perform cycle counts, material handling, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1–3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
VantageClear Certification (or equivalent) required.
Ability to operate forklifts, small power tools, hand tools, and high-pressure / computerized equipment.
Strong attention to detail, safety compliance, and quality control.
