We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team at a school spirit store in Miami Gardens, Florida. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting daily store operations, and providing excellent customer service. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility to work occasional evenings or Saturdays based on school events.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, including apparel and merchandise.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service while assisting with sales.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly and securely.
• Collaborate with the on-site supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations of the store.
• Organize and restock inventory to keep the store well-stocked and orderly.
• Assist in preparing for school events that may require adjustments to the store schedule.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies promptly.
• Support annual physical inventory processes and tracking.
• Utilize inventory tracking systems to manage store assets effectively
• Previous experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Proficiency in handling cash and processing credit card payments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and processes.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to schedule changes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
