Job description
This role will primarily be overnight (8 PM - 6:30 AM).

However, during training, you will work a day shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM) for approximately two months. KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Nonsterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician.
As a Nonsterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing nonsterile compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in support of regulatory compliance with USP 795 and 800, along with facility quality standards
  • Compounding Preparation:Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients for the compounding of nonsterile medications according to established formulations and procedures.Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality before each use.
  • Quality Control:Perform quality checks at each stage of the compounding process to verify dosage accuracy and product integrity.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines, including USP <795> for nonsterile compounding and USP <800> for hazardous drug compounding.
  • Documentation:Record all compounding activities in accordance with pharmacy policies and regulatory standards.Maintain detailed logs of ingredient batches, expiration dates, and patient-specific information.
  • Sanitation and Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain a clean and organized workspace, performing routine cleaning of tools, equipment, and the compounding area.
  • Team Collaboration:Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure accurate and timely preparation of compounded medications.Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving compounding workflows.Additional projects and responsibilities may be designated by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License
  • Experience in a compounding pharmacy or healthcare environment
  • 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience that includes non-sterile compounding / familiarity with USP 795 compliance
  • Experience in compounding hazardous drugs / USP 800 compliance is preferred
  • Knowledge of nonsterile compounding best practices
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends.
  • Strong numerical aptitude for accurate calculations.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

ENVIRONMENT AND COGNITIVE/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Cleanroom Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason and problem solve.
  • Requires prolonged standing.
  • Requires the use of compounding equipment such as balances, pH meters, high shear mixers, blenders, ovens.
  • Requires normal vision range.
  • Infrequent lifting up to 15 pounds.
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $20-22/hr W2 (night shift offers a shift differential for pay / your rate during daytime training may differ)
