The New York Times is a leader in visual journalism with reporting that includes news coverage, investigations, and culture and lifestyle reporting. The Reporter Video team identifies compelling stories and brings our journalism to our site and other platforms through video that features our journalists’ expertise.
This role involves producing, editing and publishing short-form vertical videos daily, versatile across news, features, enterprise and investigative projects, and collaborating with colleagues across the newsroom. You should have expertise in video storytelling, including editing and writing narration and social copy, and a strong sense of the digital landscape. A strong portfolio should demonstrate modern mobile video storytelling, the ability to learn quickly, and the capacity to work on small or large teams. Cinematography skills are a plus. The ideal candidate excels on deadlines and can juggle multiple projects.
This is an in-office position based in New York City or Washington, D.C., with regular attendance in the office four days a week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per departmental guidance.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $113,270.67 - $136,000 USD.
