Job Description
Onward Search Education is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions company that helps educators, therapists, and school health professionals find top jobs with the nation's top schools. We’re partnering with a school district in Indianapolis, IN to hire dedicated Occupational Therapists for the 2025–2026 school year. This assignment is open to full-time or part-time candidates and will run from ASAP through May 29, 2026.
As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you’ll work directly with students to support their independence, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and ability to participate fully in the classroom and school environment. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and related service providers to help students meet their educational and developmental goals.
Position Details :
Location : In person, Indianapolis, IN
Schedule : Full-time or part-time hours; specific days / hours are flexible
School Year : 2025 / 2026
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs and accommodations
- Promote safe and accessible learning environments for all students
