Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Construction
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction Assistant Superintendent for our stadium construction in Jacksonville, FL.
Assists the project Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities.
Responsible for and ensures project safety compliance.
Must be knowledgeable of applicable safety riders for area of responsibility.
Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications and quality standards, maintaining project documentation, interfacing with other administrative field staff.
Relies on complete knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals.
Handle a wide range of relatively complex protocols; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.
Works under general supervision.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- High School Diploma / GED and 6 years of relevant commercial construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience from a large general contractor working on 100MM construction projects.Experience in documenting and reporting such as accurate daily reports, site logs, inspection records, RFIs, contract modifications, etc.The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, with a strong understanding of site preparation, interiors and subcontractor management.Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships and communication with project managers, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.Experience with punch list and closeouts including final inspections, client walkthroughs to ensure smooth project closeout.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.Strong knowledge of construction practices, equipment, methods, cost management, and safety regulations.Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Office Suite, scheduling software).Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address on-site challenges.OSHA safety certification (OSHA 30 preferred).Physical Demands :
