What You Will Do
- Technical Data Package (TDP) Management
- Integrate with Design Team early to drive producibility and affordability, Design for Manufacturability (DFMA) and peer review representative for operations
- Engage Supplier Partners Early to Drive Producibility and Affordability, Critical Supplier Parts List (CSPL) and Quality Notes Oversight
- Support Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM) for the product, Configuration development, Common As-Built System (CABS) oversight, Material Master creation and maintenance
- Operations Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) representative, operations coordinator for Engineering Change Activity
- Support incorporation of engineering changes into production documentation (work instructions, test instructions, packaging instructions, MBOM, etc.) across the extended value stream
- Requirements comprehension and flow down : Contract to Processes
- Technical exception management : Parts Holds, Material Lien Authorization (MLA), Requests for Deviation / Waiver (RDW), Pre-release, build / ship at risk, inter-factory coordination to prevent escapes and mitigate impacts to production
- Support build and test flow across the extended value stream. Production Engineer / Program Manufacturing Engineer / Production Test Engineer / Resident Engineering Authority (PE / PME / PTE / REA) hardware owners are the SMEs on the build and test flow for the factory
- Factory and Supplier Readiness Processes
- Support / lead Manufacturing Plan / Production Readiness e-Process (PReP)
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Health Assessment, Execute Roadmap to Gate 10
- Gate Review and assessment support
- Coordinate with factory ME / PTE / REA to develop / update work / test instructions
- Manage factory and program constraints and issues
- Understands the program schedule and executes requirements aligned to that schedule
- Coordinate Manufacturing Test Engineer (MTE) and Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) System Business Process Expert (BPE) initiatives within the program Overhaul / Depot Best Practices
- Provide proposal support / BOEs, MBOM approval
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experienceExperience interpreting and improving technical drawingsExperience communicating technical information to different audiencesExperience with technical writingExperience with MRP systemsExperience teaching, training and / or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineersThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We Prefer

Salary range for this role is $82,000 - $164,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
