ARMStaffing is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Akron, Ohio.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit. The RN will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to established protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and physical condition.
  • Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and lifestyle changes.
  • Respond to patient queries and address concerns efficiently.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in PCU / Stepdown prior to travel.
  • Must hold a current Ohio RN license or compact state license.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores on both.
