Responsibilities Position is on a 34-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit caring for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients Requires monitoring of cardiac and oxygen (O2) levels Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19 : 00 to 7 : 30 Unit handles high post-op patient volume, receiving 10-20 post-surgical cases per day Possible overflow from medicine areas and floating to other units or affiliate hospitals within skillset Must provide care to a diverse surgical patient population in a fast-paced environment May float to other units or affiliate hospitals according to skills Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as per unit needs First-time travelers are considered with appropriate experience If previously employed at this facility, eligibility for rehire will be checked Mandatory annual and orientation modules must be completed Candidates must be gone for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required At least 1 year of relevant RN experience; first-time travelers must have recent post-op surgical care experience, especially in orthopedics and gastrointestinal surgeries Strong medical and surgical nursing skillset required Will not accept candidates with any license hits Two supervisory references from the last 3 years of employment required Locals within a 75-mile radius are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626219.
