Job description

SUMMARY

Portland-based Chown Hardware, a family-owned architectural hardware company, is looking to add an experienced, full-time Sales Consultant to our team in Bellevue, WA.

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of showroom performance including meeting sales objectives, training and developing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service by performing the following duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees in the Showroom Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION

$75,000-$90,000 / DOE

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a luxury showroom for plumbing, lighting, hardware or similar industry is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation / editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
