As an Equipment Sales Specialist, you'll partner with dental practices to design, equip, and elevate their operations—offering tailored solutions that support both practice growth and patient care. From promoting equipment sales and coordinating installations to managing new or remodeled office projects, you'll play a vital role in helping clients succeed. Patterson Dental is hiring Equipment Sales Specialists in key markets across the U.S. including : Mountain West South Central and Western Regions and more.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field and 3 to 5 years of business-to-business outside sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • A strong initiative with exceptional customer service, planning and organization skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate are required.
  • Previous success attaining and exceeding sales goals is a plus.
  • General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office is required.
  • You must also possess a valid driver's license.
  • 3+ years of dental industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales and drive profitable growth across multiple equipment categories.
  • Develop relationships with Doctors and key practice staff.
  • Execute effective cold call strategies to acquire new accounts.
  • Generate referrals from current customers and manufacturers' representatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule events such as technical demonstrations and co-travels.
  • Sales Planning

  • Prepare for sales visits ahead of meetings and develop general and client-specific sales strategies.
  • Develop short- and long-term business goals.
  • Actively seek information regarding Patterson products and services, competitive intelligence and industry trends.
  • Analyze customer's business for needs and selling opportunities.
  • Equipment And Technology Sales

  • Coordinate with other Patterson sales professionals to demonstrate and sell equipment and technology.
  • Proactively discuss equipment and technology solutions based on customer needs and industry trends.
  • Clearly explain benefits and features of equipment and technology solutions to match customer interests.
  • Communicate financial benefits of purchases such as return on investment and tax advantages.
  • Utilize software to draw plans for new or remodeled facility projects.
  • Project Management

  • Prepare project schedules and monitor progression of new / remodeled facility projects to ensure on-time completion and accuracy.
  • Evaluate project plans and blueprints, coordinate with designers and contractors, and suggest modifications when necessary.
  • Customer Relations

  • Provide post-sale support to customers.
  • Demonstrate proper use of products or equipment and respond to customer queries in a timely fashion.
  • Holds client relationship meetings to monitor satisfaction levels and illustrate value-added services.
  • Consult with customers in choosing real estate agents, general contractors and other service providers based on customer needs.
  • Job Qualifications
